Instrumental & Craft Overview / Focus: Sense Memory

Anthony Vincent Bova, Bova Actors Workshop, Eric Morris System New York, Acting Classes, Method Acting, Scene Study, Acting Workshop,This is a great workshop for new actors  in the search for a strong acting foundation and for advance actors to brush up on their instrument and to reinvest into a full Sense Memory exploration.  Sense Memory is used in a significant amount of the Craft part of the Eric Morris System.

The Eric Morris System is devised into two main categories; the Instrumental Work (Freeing the actor from common acting obstacles), and the Craft Work (the step by step process of creating the character’s reality).

During the morning, everyone will work Instrumentally.  After lunch we will focus on Sense Memory, which is the Craft Work.

    • Dress comfortably, expect to arrive early and stay late
    • Have a short monologue prepared (1 -2 min), and it doesn’t need to be “the perfect monologue” for you.
    • Bring an emotionally impacting object.  Nothing too big.
    • Recommended reading: No Acting Please

Notes

  • Limited to 12 actors
  • 9:30 AM –  Doors open for a light complementary breakfast and a little meet and greet.
  • 10:00 AM – Start
  • Lunch will be 1 hour and should be in the 1 – 1:30 area
  • At least 3 hours in the afternoon (maybe more) will be dedicated to Sense Memory.

  • Fee: $150
  • Discount – Actors to attend this workshop and register for the March Cycle (8 week Cycle) receive a $50 discount

  • Bova Actors Workshop reserves the right to take pictures and or video’s of actors in workshop for promotional purposes
